Renowrites blog!

Author of YA novel "Enlightenment" available March 2019!

I’m just like any writer. I want to write a book and have it published. I want readers to like it. This inner desire to be accepted by the literary world also makes me paranoid that my writing isn’t up to par. It seems that anything I write doesn’t seem good enough, so I keep working in the cave hoping I can get it right.

I recently attended a writing workshop presented by Beth Barany, an author and creative coach for authors. She had so much bubbly enthusiasm, you had to be dead not to feel the contagious energy. I wanted to thank her for a great presentation and opening my eyes to some of the possibilities for the debut author. I also had the privilege of meeting Patricia Simpson, an award-winning author of paranormal romance. Thank you Patricia for your words of wisdom!

Now back to the cave…

I think any artist has to be self indulgent. Otherwise, they are making a product to someone else’s specifications.

    Hi Reno,

I enjoyed having you at our meetup. [] Good luck with your writing! Now back to the cave with me too…
